Taking inspiration from the “双凤纹鎏金银盘 (the glided silver plate with double phoenix patterns from the Liao Dynasty (now housed in the Inner Mongolia Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology), the phoenix, symbolizing auspiciousness, is considered the king of all birds. The overall glaze of the plate is simple yet lustrous, while the raised relief on the bottom is naturally rendered, conveying a sense of auspiciousness and prosperity.
